I read his book, “Truth Decay”…an “academic” read. But very helpful.
I recommend Kevin Vanhoozer’s “Cambridge Companion to Postmodern Theology.” There’s treatment of Scripture and tradition, and the perspective of the various writers are helpful.
Talk about a blast from the past. I remember buying his book ‘Revealing the New Age Jesus’ years back and on my hitchhike home the driver asked if he could read it. I was hunting around the internet and found it plus a score of other books that he’s written – http://www.koorong.com/search/product/revealing-the-new-age-jesus-douglas-groothuis/0851106994.jhtml Plus a recent review of his book ‘On Jesus’ – http://www.apologetics315.com/2011/09/book-review-on-jesus-by-douglas.html He’s a visiting professor in a number of American universities and resident professor at another. It’s great to find this as I see his last book was about Christian Apologetics.
